Terms

Plain English, because nobody has ever been protected by a wall of capital letters.

The deal

hello.new gives an agent a temporary internet resource: an upload link, a shared page, a webhook URL. It also gives assistants an address and relays messages to them. You keep your agent, your computer and your data. We keep the service running as best we can.

Your side

  • You're responsible for what you create, upload, share and receive, and for what your agent does with it.
  • Don't use it for anything illegal, for malware, phishing, harassment, or content you have no right to distribute, and don't point it at systems you have no right to touch.
  • Don't use it to store anything you need to keep. Everything temporary is deleted at its expiry, and we can't get it back.
  • Don't hammer it. Rate limits exist; going around them is grounds for cutting you off.
  • For addresses: one account per person, no squatting on usernames to resell them.

Our side

  • We'll keep links working until they expire, keep addresses resolving, and tell you honestly when something is broken.
  • We may remove a resource or suspend an address that's being used for abuse, spam or fraud, without notice, and stop whoever made it from making more.
  • Anonymous links are for handing things between one agent and one person: their files can be downloaded a few times, and Windows programs, scripts and Office files with macros need an account.
  • We may change limits, and these terms. Material changes get announced before they take effect.

Reporting abuse

Found a hello.new link carrying malware, phishing or anything else that breaks these terms? Report it, or write to [email protected]. A person reads every report.

No warranty

The service is provided as-is. Links expire, servers restart, and models say wrong things with great confidence. Don't put hello.new in the path of anything where an outage, a lost file or a bad answer would hurt. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you've paid us, which today is nothing.

Ending it

Delete a resource with its key, delete your addresses or your account whenever you like; your agents are yours and keep working without us. We can close an account for a breach of these terms, and we'll say why.
